该课程为汇丰商学院在北大汇丰英国校区开设的本科生暑期课程,目的是通过几周的课程和访学交流,让学生全面了解英国的政治与公共政策、经济金融沿革和现状、历史文化、公共政策、法律以及外交关系等。具体课程内容包括了以下几个专题:英国历史和现状,英国的法律体系,英国媒体与国际关系,英国金融区块链、数字经济等新经济业态发展、英国在国际金融体系中的重要作用,英国的碳中和、绿色经济以及英国与欧盟的关系等话题。 课程通过互动、参与、体验、深度介入的浸入式教学方式,在课堂讲授的同时安排了学生的分组讨论、案例研讨,同时安排了学生在当地相关机构和企业的参访交流,也会组织学生前往剑桥大学和牛津大学体验英国的高等教育氛围。 该课程包括课堂讲授,案例介绍,小组讨论,实地考察,关键主题辩论以及研讨。通过本课程的学习,学生可提高独立思考能力和逻辑分析能力,学生通过全面学习深入地了解英国的历史与发展,有助于学生未来促进中国和英国、世界之间的国际交流与合作,具备国际化的视野,熟悉更广泛的国际政治、经济、法律、传播、文化知识,学习基本的跨文化管理理念。 |
英文简介 |
This course is a summer course for undergraduates offered by HSBC Business School at Peking University HSBC UK Campus. The purpose is to give students a comprehensive understanding of British politics and public policy, economic and financial history and current situation, history and culture, Public policy, law, and foreign relations. The specific course content includes the following topics: British history and current situation, British legal system, British media and international relations, British financial blockchain, digital economy and other new economic formats, the important role of the British in the international financial system, topics include carbon neutrality in the UK, the green economy, and the UK's relationship with the EU. Through the immersion teaching method of interaction, participation, experience, and deep intervention, the course arranges group discussions and case studies for students while teaching in the classroom. At the same time, it arranges students to visit relevant local institutions and enterprises and travel to Cambridge University and Oxford University to experience British higher education. The course includes classroom lectures, case presentations, group discussions, field trips, debates on key topics, and seminars. Through the study of this course, students' independent thinking and logical analysis skills will be improved. Students will have a deeper understanding of British history through comprehensive learning, which will help students to promote international exchanges and cooperation between China, the UK and the world in the future, gain an international perspective, be familiar with a wider range of international political and economic knowledge, and learn basic cross-cultural management concepts. |

To develop a comprehensive understanding of the economic institutions in EU and the UK with respect to growth, international trade, industrial policy and economic integration. Students will also study new challenges for EU/UK economy and their trade with China and Asia including the impact of Brexit and Russia-Ukraine war. Students will learn how to present their analyses and arguments through lectures, group presentation and discussion, and to develop their knowledge and criticality for analyzing or reviewing issues relating to the topics of the study.

Lecture, Group Discussion, Field Study
The course will be assessed by (1) group discussion accounting 30% of the total, and (2) a final presentation that accounts 70% of the total marks. The topics of group presentation and submission date will be determined in due course
