本课程将研读从荷马到晚期古代的希腊经典文献。2017年我们将主要讨论一般被称为“智者”（Sophists）的早期希腊思想家。希望通过通过对于原始史料的研读，（1）加深理解经典时期希腊的伦理和政治文化；（2）理解近期学界讨论的前沿问题，例如启蒙主义的问题，口传与演述的关联。（3）提高文本细读和学术写作的能力。
