《易传》中有言“彰往而知来”，“以史为鉴”，“读史明智”……历史就是要认识事件之间的联系，识别事件之间存在因果关系，探寻历史发展的规律。农业经济思想可以追溯到远古时代，我国春秋时期，孔子和孟子的著作中已有诸多关于农业经营、土地制度和安定民生的论述。“哥伦布大交换”、人口增长和迁移奠定了现代文明的基石。气候变化、“哥伦布大交换”和钢铁对农业经济有何影响？国内外的土地制度演变和政权变动是如何一步步推进农业结构调整？稻作文化如何影响了现代社会人的心理？本课程将在农业悠远的历史背景下，传授学生基本的农业经济史知识，梳理推动全球农业制度变迁的主要事件。在经济学框架下，分析农业发展与历史轨迹千丝万缕的密切联系。“史之为用，其利甚博，乃生人之急务，为国家之要道，有国有家者，其可缺之哉？”选修本课程，就是纵向看人类，科学本质地认识农业经济和农村发展。 |
| 英文简介 |
History is to understand the relationship among events, to identify causality of the events and to explore the law of development. The thoughts of agricultural economy can be traced back to the ancient times. Confucius and Mencius had many expositions on agricultural operation, land system and the livelihood. "Columbian exchange", population growth and migration laid the cornerstone of modern civilization. What is the impacts of climate change, the "Columbian Exchange" and the development of steel on the agricultural economy? How to promote the evolution of agricultural structure step by step in the legacy of the land tenure system globally and the political conflicts? How does rice cultivation affect the psychology? This course will document the agricultural history, combing the major events that promote the global agricultural system. Relying on the framework of economics, the course identifies the causality of historical events in the evolution of agricultural economy. This course is to find the nature of agricultural economy and rural development. |

本课程将从历史的维度，传授农业经济史知识，对农业发展的过去和现状有更为本质的认识，通过梳理推动全球农业变迁的主要事件，从制度、科技等方面阐述农业发展与历史轨迹千丝万缕的密切联系，从历史的视角上科学本质地认识农业经济和农村发展。
1、农业经济史简介（2学时）
2、哥伦布大交换”及其对人口增长的影响（6学时）
新旧大陆物种的交换-“哥伦布大交换”
马铃薯和人口增长
甘薯、玉米与明清人口爆炸和经济增长
大豆贸易与“闯关东”
3、国内外土地制度的演变 （4学时）
“长子继承权”、诸子均分土地及其土地制度的演变
土地继承权与人口迁移
4、李约瑟之谜的实证分析：为什么科学和工业革命没有发生在近代中国？（4学时）
5、基础设施与近代工业化（2学时）
6、清代粮价、农产品贸易与农产品市场整合（4学时）
7、气候冲击、游牧民族与中原政权的冲突（2学时）
8、历史上的大饥荒（4学时）
从电影“一九四二”说起，介绍全球和我国历史上的大饥荒；
厘清大饥荒的成因、对经历饥荒的特定群体的影响及其代际影响；
9、灌溉制度与现代人的心理（2学时）
10、病菌、妇女的选举权与人力资本的发展（2学时）
本课程以课堂讲授为主（约占75%），包括文献阅读（约占15%）和讨论（约占10%）。
成绩评定由两部分构成：期末提交一份1000字以上对本课程总体或某章节的思考和感想，形式不限（占80%）；平时小组讨论（共占20%）。
