中文简介 改革开放三十年我国贫困人口减少了6.78亿,全球贫困人口数量的减少的成就90%以上来自中国。但截至2015年底我国仍有7000多万农村贫困人口。为何我国能取得如此巨大的减贫成就?如何理解我国收入差距的变化?新形势下如何实现脱贫攻坚目标?如何成功跨越中等收入陷阱,成功实现经济社会转型?
针对这些问题,本课程将首先介绍发展经济学基本理论,然后与大家一起从自然区位环境、人口和家庭婚育行为、劳动力就业和迁徙、农村公共物品提供,劳动力质量和农村人力资本培育等角度回顾我国的发展历程,总结发展经验,剖析进一步发展面临的挑战。最后本课程将通过分享授课教师十多年来在农村教育和人力资本培育方面开展的试验研究与大家共同探索如果通过提升人力资本助力我国成功跨越中等收入陷阱的解决之道。
本课程旨在丰富学生在发展经济学方面的基本理论知识和实证分析方法,了解该领域的学科进展,脚踏实地的感受中国农村减贫和发展的脉搏。
英文简介 This course will cover topics in development economics through the lens of China’s experience. Although the main goal will be for students to gain an understanding of concepts in development economics, the course will cover these concepts with a focus on how they relate to the institutional changes and economic policies and that have shaped China’s economic emergence as well as the country’s current development challenges. Development economics is a broad field and impossible to be comprehensively cover within 32 hours. As such, this course will be a survey of select topics most relevant to China. We will also cover some basic statistical measurement issues and impact evaluation methods important for understanding modern research in development economics. Materials will be covered at the undergraduate level. All lectures and discussions will be conducted in English.
