人类为什么进化的如此成功？或许可以从我们人类表亲——非人灵长类那里得到些线索。灵长类，万物之长，是哺乳动物中较为特殊的一类，目前已多达500多种。灵长类的行为多样、高度社会化，与人类有着千丝万缕的联系，研究灵长类的行为与社会有助于我们了解动物和人类行为、社会的起源和进化。该课程将从1）灵长类的特征、分类和行为的系统发生；2）灵长类的演化历史与多样性；3）社会行为与演化；4）繁殖行为与演化；5）取食行为与营养；6）雌性策略与雄性策略；7）亲本投资与生活史；8）交流（面部表情、声音等）与认知；9）文化行为；10）灵长类的智能与人性的起源11）灵长类的群落生态；12）灵长类的保护等方面展开，对行为的发生与作用，社会组织结构的形成与进化进行探讨，通过窥探我们人类祖先的影子，思考动物和人类社会与行为的演化机制，探讨人性的起源。 |
| 英文简介 |
How did we become the hugely successful apes that we are? Maybe we can get some clues from our closest relatives—— nonhuman primates. Primates, the “highest order” of mammals, are more than 500 species. They are special with diverse behaviors，gregarious and social life and closely related to human. Research primate behavior will help us to understand the origin and evolution of animal and human society and behavior, and origin of human nature. This course including: 1）Traits, Trends, and Taxonomy， 2) Evolutionary History and Diversity， 3) Evolution and Social Behavior， 4) Evolution and Reproduction， 5) Food and Nutrition， 6) Female Strategies and Male Strategies， 7) Parents Care and Life History， 8) Communication and Cognition 9) Culture Behavior， 10)Primate Intelligence and the Origin of Human Nature，11）Community Ecology，12）Conservation.
It is hoped that students can track ancestors of human being, thinking evolutionary mechanisms in animals and human society and behavior, discussing the origin of human nature.
